Rio Vista's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Matt Bodle led the charge by scoring 9 points along with 8 rebounds and 7 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Holley, who scored 20 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
When it comes to explaining why Golden Sierra lost, one person who can't be blamed is Patrick Bingham. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 12 points and 10 rebounds. Bingham scored a full 27.9% of Golden Sierra's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Devin Nibbelink was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
Rio Vista's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Golden Sierra, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Rio Vista will be playing in front of their home fans against Buckingham Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Golden Sierra's road trip will continue as they head out to face Argonaut at 6:00 p.m. on December 6th.
