Football Recap: Weiser Wolverines vs. Payette Pirates

Weiser won the last time they faced Payette and Ty Cobb did his part to make sure it happened again. The Wolverines really took it to the Pirates for the full four quarters, racking up a 50-13 victory for which the team can thank Cobb, who rushed for 125 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making nine total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Cole Ingle was another key player, rushing for 72 yards and a pair of TDs. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making three total tackles and defending one pass.

When it comes to explaining why Payette lost on Friday, don't look at Darrien Pecunia. Despite the final result, he rushed for 75 yards and one score, and also threw for 83 yards and one touchdown. Pecunia was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 51 yards.
