Basketball Recap: Laton Comes Up Short

Laton played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 77-31 defeat at the hands of the Kings Christian Crusaders. The Mustangs were down 63-24 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Despite the loss, Laton still got an impressive performance from Yann Jimenez, who went 6 of 12 to rack up 16 points and seven boards. What's more, Jimenez also posted a 50% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in November of 2024.

Trey Brouwer continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Kings Christian, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. Brouwer has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last eight times he's played. Kevin Roche was another key player, putting up 14 points in addition to six steals and five rebounds.

Laton's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Kings Christian, they pushed their record up to 22-4 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.

Laton has already played their next match, a 56-31 win against Alpaugh on the 5th. As for Kings Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-52 defeat against Exeter on the 5th.
