Soccer Game Preview: Highland vs. Williams Field

The Highland Hawks will face off against the Williams Field Black Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Highland will be strutting in after a win while Williams Field will be coming in after a defeat.

Highland is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They beat Perry by a goal, winning 4-3. Josh Orellana-Valencia was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Williams Field managed to keep up with Arizona College Prep until halftime last Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Williams Field lost 3-0 to Arizona College Prep. While losing is never fun, the Black Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 61st, while the Knights are ranked seventh).

Williams Field now has a losing record at 4-5-1. As for Highland, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5-1 record this season.

Highland took their victory against Williams Field when the teams last played back in December of 2018 by a conclusive 3-0. Will Highland repeat their success, or does Williams Field have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
