Basketball Recap: Nebraska Lutheran Takes a Loss

Nebraska Lutheran and Archangels Catholic squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Nebraska Lutheran had to settle for second. They were dealt a 70-32 defeat at the hands of the Archangels Catholic Defenders. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 215th, while the Defenders are ranked 98th).

Despite the loss, Nebraska Lutheran still got an impressive performance from Luke Otte, who to rack up 12 points and six rebounds. What's more, Otte also posted a 45% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Carson Malchow, who posted six points.

Nebraska Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Archangels Catholic, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-6.

As of now, neither Nebraska Lutheran nor Archangels Catholic have any future games scheduled.
