Softball Recap: Shikellamy Comes Up Short

Shikellamy was the 7-5 winner over Williamsport when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Braves fell 7-4 to the Millionaires on Monday. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kianah Lenner was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she tossed six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits.

On the hitting side, Shikellamy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aveya Stauffer, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Shikellamy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Williamsport, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Shikellamy will square off against rival Danville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Williamsport is set to face off against their familiar foe Central Mountain at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
