Softball Recap: Waterford Comes Up Short

Waterford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Stone Ridge Christian Knights, falling 14-0. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2018.

Waterford's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Stone Ridge Christian, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waterford will face off against Gustine at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Stone Ridge Christian, they will take on Denair at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Denair is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.6 runs per game this season.
