Volleyball Recap: Phelps' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Phelps came into Saturday's game having lost 12 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They won by a set and slipped past the Crandon Cardinals 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Knights have posted since October 22, 2024.

Phelps was led to victory by Addison Szuta and Keira Riihimaki. Szuta had seven digs and six aces, while Riihimaki had nine digs and one block. That's the most digs Szuta has posted over her last 12 matchups.

Phelps' win bumped their record up to 2-13. As for Crandon, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Phelps wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Elcho on the 6th. As for Crandon, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Chequamegon at 6:00 p.m. on the 18th.
