Baseball Recap: Crockett County Comes Up Short

Crockett County's last matchup with Brighton could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Wednesday. The Cavaliers came up short against the Cardinals, falling 7-0. If the Cavaliers were looking for revenge after losing 8-6 to the Cardinals when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Crockett County has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season. As for Brighton, their victory bumped their record up to 9-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crockett County will face off against Gibson County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Brighton, they will head out to square off against Christian Brothers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Cardinals are facing the Purple Wave at the right time seeing as the Purple Wave are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
