Everything went their way against the Wrangell Wolves on Saturday as the Haines Glacier Bears made off with a 55-32 win. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Glacier Bears considering their 22-point performance the match before.
Wrangell lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Alana Harrison, who posted eight points. Christina Johnson was another key player, putting up eight points.
Haines' victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.5 points on average over those games. As for Wrangell, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-13.
