Football Game Preview: Marquez Gladiators vs. Van Nuys Wolves

The Marquez Gladiators will take on the Van Nuys Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Marquez comes in on five and Van Nuys on six.

Marquez is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They snuck past Granada Hills Charter with a 17-12 victory.

Marquez relied on the efforts of Angelo Gutierrez-Molina, who threw for 167 yards and a pair of TDs on only 15 passes, and Marcus Juan, who picked up 80 receiving yards and one score. Those 167 passing yards gave Gutierrez-Molina a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Van Nuys made easy work of Banning on Friday and carried off a 36-15 win. Considering the Wolves have won six matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Marquez's record now sits at 9-2. As for Van Nuys, their record is now 10-1.
