Basketball Recap: Mineral Wells Comes Up Short

Mineral Wells was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 79-63 fall against the Brownwood Lions. The Rams were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 62-51.

Mineral Wells' defeat dropped their record down to 5-25. As for Brownwood, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-18.

Mineral Wells and Brownwood could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Mineral Wells (ranked 1182nd) will meet Brock (ranked 190th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Brownwood will take on Glen Rose at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday down 724 places (938 vs. 214).
