Basketball Recap: Century Comes Up Short

Century was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 63-43 to the Saddleback Roadrunners. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Centurions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 65-28 on January 7th.

Christopher Trotter continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Saddleback, going 5 for 12 en route to 17 points along with five assists and three steals. The matchup was Trotter's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Karstein George was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.

Century's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Saddleback, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-12 record this season.

Century will face off against Anaheim at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Anaheim will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Century surely won't give up without a fight. As for Saddleback, they will challenge Bolsa Grande at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Saddleback is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.5 points per game this season.
