Recap: First Coast Buccaneers vs. Fletcher Senators

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but The First Coast Buccaneers ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 28-27 win over Fletcher. The win was nothing new for First Coast as they're now sitting on three straight.

First Coast can attribute much of their success to Auston Harris, who rushed for 120 yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Rodney Tisdale Jr, who threw for 192 yards and a touchdown while completing 77.3% of his passes.

Despite the loss, Fletcher still got an impressive performance from Marcelis Tate, who rushed for 52 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 236 yards and a touchdown. Trevor Bryan was in the mix as well, providing Fletcher with two touchdowns.

Even if they lost, Fletcher's defense sure didn't make it easy: First Coast's QB was sacked six times before it was all said and done. It was a group effort, with three picking up two apiece.

First Coast is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Fletcher, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.

First Coast will head out on the road to face off against Andrew Jackson at 6:30 p.m. on November 3rd. Andrew Jackson is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Fletcher, they will be playing at home against Atlantic Coast at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Atlantic Coast is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
