Volleyball Recap: Genoa Area Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road + How To Watch

Genoa Area's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Fostoria Redmen by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Comets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-14, 23-25, 25-13.

Makenna Moritz paced Genoa Area's offense, picking up 11 kills. Moritz got some help from Lucy Schlageter and her 14 assists. Schlageter also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Mya Rethman, racking up four apiece.

Genoa Area's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-7. As for Fostoria, their defeat was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-11.
