Volleyball Recap: Rock Hill Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Rock Hill challenged York on Tuesday. The Bearcats took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The Bearcats' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it seven in a row dating back to last season.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 21-25, 25-16, 25-23.

Hannah Anderson paced Rock Hill's offense, picking up 11 kills. Anderson got some help from Ella Lesslie and her 14 assists. Hadley Matthews controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Rock Hill's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for York, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rock Hill will take on Ridge View at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for York, they will square off against Dreher at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Cougars' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
