Volleyball Recap: Mills Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Noelle Young and Chloe Wong

Mills was the 2-0 winner over San Mateo when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings fell 3-1 to the Bearcats on Tuesday.

Mills was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made San Mateo work for it, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 23-25, 26-24, 25-20.

Chloe Wong and Noelle Young certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Wong had 21 digs and one assist, while Young had six digs and two aces.

Mills has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for San Mateo, the win snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 3-7 record.

Coincidentally, Mills and San Mateo will both be playing South San Francisco the next time they take the court. The Vikings will host the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bearcats will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
