Softball Recap: Fort Bragg's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Fort Bragg managed to slip by Fortuna the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Fort Bragg came up short against Fortuna on Monday, falling 15-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Timberwolves have suffered since April 16, 2024.

Sierra Thompson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Even though they lost, Fort Bragg was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .375 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Fort Bragg fell to 2-1. As for Fortuna, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Bragg will head out to take on Upper Lake at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fortuna, they will venture away from home to challenge Eureka at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
