Glendale came into Thursday's contest having lost 11 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Washington Rams by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. For the Cardinals, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Rams walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Glendale had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-22, 25-16, 26-24.

Camila Delfs paced Glendale's offense, picking up six kills. Delfs got some help from Anabel Arriaga and her nine assists. Arriaga was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Glendale's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 3-13. As for Washington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Washington beat Glendale by a score of 3-0 on Monday.
