Volleyball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Olpe

Olpe entered their tilt with Waverly on Saturday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Bulldogs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 last Tuesday.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Olpe got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 24-26, 25-19.

Ella Wilson paced Olpe's offense, picking up 11 kills. Wilson got some help from Kayla Steinke and her 15 assists. Steinke was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Olpe's win bumped their record up to 21-11. As for Waverly, their loss dropped their record down to 15-10-5.

Olpe has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Marais des Cygnes Valley on the 11th. Hopefully Waverly paid attention to the Eagles' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Eagles on Tuesday.
