Football Recap: Mchenry Starts Season with Win Against Guilford

McHenry gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Guilford Vikings an 18-0 shutout. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 26-6 loss the last time these two teams met.

Brooklyn Anderson threw for 180 yards and two TDs. Chloe Casey was her top target, picking up 63 receiving yards.

McHenry has already played their next matchup, a 54-12 win against Grayslake North on the 27th. As for Guilford, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 36-6 victory against Belvidere North on the 27th.
