Baseball Game Preview: Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans vs. Calvary Day School Cougars

For the second straight game, Wesleyan Christian Academy will face off against Calvary Day School. Wesleyan Christian Academy is taking a road trip to square off against Calvary Day School at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Wesleyan Christian Academy has three straight victories, Calvary Day School has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Tuesday, Wesleyan Christian Academy made easy work of Calvary Day School and carried off a 9-3 win.

Nick Papciak made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

In other batting news, Cole Bowman and Blake Goff did most of the damage at the plate: Bowman went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI, while Goff scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. What's more, Goff posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Thompson Holloway, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Wesleyan Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Calvary Day School only posted a batting average of .200.

Calvary Day School's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Wesleyan Christian Academy, their record now sits at 5-6.
