Basketball Recap: Arcadia/Loup City Comes Up Short

Arcadia/Loup City lost against St. Paul back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Arcadia/Loup City Rebels were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 50-49 to the St. Paul Wildcats. The Rebels' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Arcadia/Loup City's loss came despite strong showings from Eli Jaixen and Max Lewandowski. Jaixen dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds, while Lewandowski almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Those 17 points gave Lewandowski a new career-high.

Arcadia/Loup City now has a losing record at 3-4. As for St. Paul, they moved to 2-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Arcadia/Loup City and Elm Creek will round out the year against one another at at 4:00 p.m. on December 30th. Elm Creek is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.9 points per game this season. As for St. Paul, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-50 win against Broken Bow on the 21st.
