Softball Recap: Whitefield Academy WolfPack vs. King's Ridge Christian Tigers
Whitefield Academy won against St. Francis last Tuesday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Whitefield Academy WolfPack narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the King's Ridge Christian Tigers 8-7. The victory was nothing new for the WolfPack as they're now sitting on three straight.
The team relied heavily on Haley Holland, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Kensley Killimett, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
Whitefield Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6. As for King's Ridge Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Whitefield Academy will venture away from home to square off against Landmark Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for King's Ridge Christian, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Holy Innocents Episcopal at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
