Baseball Recap: Skyline Takes a Loss

Skyline lost against Issaquah last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Spartans fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2.

Jack Ogliore was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits.

Skyline has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for Issaquah, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-8.

Skyline does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Issaquah, they will take on Bothell at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 3.2, the Cougars 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
