Volleyball Recap: South Gwinnett Takes a Loss

South Gwinnett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Discovery Titans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Thursday.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, South Gwinnett sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 24-26, 17-15.

Scarlett Cribb went supernova For Discovery., getting 21 assists and four aces. Those four aces gave Cribb a new career-high.

South Gwinnett's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Discovery, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-12 record this season.

South Gwinnett will head out on the road to face off against Hebron Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Discovery, they will be playing at home against Mountain View at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Titans' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
