Baseball Recap: Sedgwick County Comes Up Short

The Cougars lost 17-1 to the Wray Eagles on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost nine in a row.

Sedgwick County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tate Renquist, who went 1-for-2 with one triple.

Sedgwick County's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Wray, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-11 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Wray beat Sedgwick County by a score of 12-0 later that day.
