Volleyball Game Preview: St. John Bosco Academy vs. Pinecrest Academy Paladins

St. John Bosco Academy is 0-7 against Pinecrest Academy since August of 2023 but things could change on Tuesday. St. John Bosco Academy will challenge Pinecrest Academy at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, St. John Bosco Academy earned a 3-1 win over Holy Spirit Prep.

St. John Bosco Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 14-25, 26-24, 25-18, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Pinecrest Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Fulton Science Academy last Thursday, taking the game 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Paladins in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won five in a row.

Pinecrest Academy walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 27-25, 21-25, 28-26.

Pinecrest Academy's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for St. John Bosco Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.

St. John Bosco Academy came up short against Pinecrest Academy in their previous matchup on September 9th, falling 3-1. Can St. John Bosco Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
