Los Gatos pushed their record up to 17-7-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Mountain View, their record now sits at 10-11.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Mountain View has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Los Gatos struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.6 strikeouts. Mountain View skirted past Los Gatos 1-0 when the teams last played back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
