Softball Recap: Luis Valdez Leadership Academy Lions vs. Summit Shasta Black Bears
Luis Valdez Leadership Academy extended their losing streak to eight on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 0-8 in the process. They came up short against the Summit Shasta Black Bears, falling 21-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Black Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 23-8 last Friday.
Luis Valdez Leadership Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was America Martinez, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
As for Summit Shasta, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 15 runs.

Looking ahead, Luis Valdez Leadership Academy will square off against Design Tech at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
