Basketball Game Preview: Council Rock North Indians vs. Springfield Township Spartans

The Council Rock North Indians just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Springfield Township Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Thursday, Council Rock North came up short against La Academia Charter and fell 42-35. The contest marked the Indians' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Springfield Township was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 56-30 to Pennridge. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 402nd, while the Rams are ranked 185th).

Council Rock North has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Springfield Township, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.

Council Rock North didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Springfield Township in their previous meeting back in January of 2018, but they still walked away with a 59-55 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Council Rock North since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
