Basketball Recap: Bruce Randolph Comes Up Short

If Bruce Randolph was riding high fresh off their 55-28 takedown of DSST: College View last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bruce Randolph Grizzlies fell to the Manual Thunderbolts 40-34. The Grizzlies have struggled against the Thunderbolts recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Manual's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaci Collins-Falcon, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine boards. Collins-Falcon's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dayjah Fox, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds.

Bruce Randolph's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Manual, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-2.

Looking ahead, Bruce Randolph will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against DSST: Conservatory Green at 6:00 p.m. Bruce Randolph is facing DSST: Conservatory Green at the right time seeing as DSST: Conservatory Green is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Manual, they are taking a road trip to challenge DMLK at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Manual's defense has only allowed 29.9 points per game this season, so DMLK's offense will have their work cut out for them.
