Basketball Recap: Covina Comes Up Short

Covina was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 67-44 to the Ontario Christian Knights.

Ontario Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cole Jones led the charge by going 10 of 20 on his way to 23 points and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Avila, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Covina's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Ontario Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.

Covina didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 72-43 loss against Mark Keppel on the 13th. As for Ontario Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 79-60 defeat against Glendora on the 13th.
