Softball Recap: South Comes Up Short

South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Los Altos Conquerors.

Brynn Stallings made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Meera Malik, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.

South's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Los Altos, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coincidentally, South and Los Altos will both be playing Mira Costa the next time they take the field. Los Altos will head out to face Mira Costa at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while South will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
