Soccer Game Preview: McFarland vs. Delano

The McFarland Cougars will head out to take on the Delano Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. McFarland will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

On Wednesday, McFarland was able to grind out a solid win over Kennedy, taking the game 4-2. That's two games straight that McFarland have won by exactly two goals.

They hit Kennedy with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Cristian Avalos, Isaac Rios, Julian Barajas, and Jose Duran.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Wednesday. Delano came up short against Wasco, falling 3-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Delano hasn't been shut out since back in December of 2025.

McFarland's victory bumped their record up to 17-0-4. As for Delano, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1-1 and their overall record down to 5-9-2.

McFarland beat Delano 2-0 when the teams last played back in December of 2025. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
