Softball Recap: Gahr Gets the Win

Gahr's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the La Habra Highlanders. The Gladiators haven't had any issues with the Highlanders recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Isabelle Gonzalez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Hazel Anglo, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Mya Laroya was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

The win got Gahr back to even at 11-11-3. As for La Habra, they moved to 16-7 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gahr will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Mayfair at 3:15 p.m. on the 29th. As for La Habra, they will face off against Villa Park at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
