Baseball Recap: Latexo Tigers vs. Centerville Tigers
Latexo had lost three straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 4-10 to make it four. They came up short against Centerville, falling 15-0. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 6, 2021, but that streak is no more.
As for Centerville, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 18-2-1. Considering they have won ten matchups by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
For Centerville's part, Jake Pineda was incredible, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Brooke, who went 3-for-5 with two runs and one RBI.
Latexo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Centerville, they will face off against Franklin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lions will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
