That triple marked the first that Green has hit this season. Mariah Branscomb was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Abingdon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .590. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lee only posted an OBP of .304.

The victory was the third in a row for Abingdon, bringing their record up to 14-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Lee, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Abingdon will venture away from home to face off against Eastside at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight.
