It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Mainland Buccaneers had no problem doing just that on Friday. They snuck past the Raiders with a 42-36 victory. The victory was familiar territory for Mainland who now have six in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mainland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nathan Kirk, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds. Kade Manley was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds.

Mainland is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season. As for Rickards, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-7.

Mainland will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Blake at 5:00 p.m. on March 6th. Blake has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 200 points over their last three games. Rickards does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
