Basketball Recap: Konos Academy Comes Up Short

Konos Academy extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping them down to 1-6. They were dealt an 82-24 defeat at the hands of the New Creation Christian Academy Crusaders. The Condor were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-12.

Jackson McFadden and Daniel Kirkland certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. McFadden posted 11 points, while Kirkland had three points. Thanks to that strong game, McFadden now owns an excellent 42.9% three-point shooting accuracy.

As for New Creation Christian Academy, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-2. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 41 points or more this season.

New Creation Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Caleb Estes, who went 9-for-19 en route to 21 points in addition to seven boards and five assists. Levi Houseworth was another key player, shooting 64% from the field on his way to 18 points and six rebounds.

Konos Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 69-41 loss against Springwood on the 18th. As for New Creation Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 75-45 win against HALO on the 18th.
