Baseball Recap: Mars Comes Up Short

Mars was the 5-4 winner over New Castle when they last played one another on Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Fightin' Planets fell just short of the Hurricanes by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday.

Mars' loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for New Castle, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Coming up, Mars will square off against Knoch at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Fightin' Planets' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for New Castle, they will face off against Fox Chapel at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
