Volleyball Recap: Sandy Valley Comes Up Short on the Road Against Fairless

Sandy Valley kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fairless Falcons. The loss continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost four in a row.

While Sandy Valley was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-22.

Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Teresa Petro, who had nine kills and eight digs. Landry Little was another key player, getting 12 assists and six digs.

Coincidentally, Sandy Valley and Fairless will both be playing Malvern the next time they take the court. The Cardinals will host the Hornets at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Falcons will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
