Softball Recap: Deer Park Comes Up Short

Deer Park lost against Reading last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wildcats came up short against the Blue Devils, falling 15-1. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly 14 runs.

Rachel Walker was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Deer Park has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Reading, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

Looking ahead, Deer Park will host Norwood at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Reading, they will head out on the road to face off against Taylor at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
