Baseball Game Preview: Tri-County RVT Cougars vs. Norfolk County Agricultural Rams

Tri-County RVT is 8-2 against Norfolk County Agricultural since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Rams at 3:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Tri-County RVT and 27 for Norfolk County Agricultural dating back to last season.

Tri-County RVT fell victim to Old Colony RVT and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They fell just short of Old Colony RVT by a score of 1-0. The match marked the first time this season in which Tri-County RVT was not able to get on the board.

Noah Roche spent all 7.2 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits and racked up six Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Tri-County RVT is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-3 otherwise.

At the plate, Tri-County RVT saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Roche, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Norfolk County Agricultural scored the most runs they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of Holbrook by a score of 14-12.

Tri-County RVT now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Norfolk County Agricultural, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Tri-County RVT took their victory against Norfolk County Agricultural in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 13-0 score. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
