It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Elgin can now relate to. They were beaten by the Barrington Fillies/Broncos 72-13 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Maroons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 340th, while the Fillies/Broncos are ranked eighth).

Although Elgin took the loss, they still got scores from Angel-Luis Hernandez and Jayden Edgar Gray.

Lamar Osterhues produced another solid performance rushing for 66 yards and three scores for Barrington. That's the most rushing touchdowns Osterhues has posted since back in September. Chris Sanchez was another major influence, as he rushed for 35 yards and ran in a TD.

Elgin is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5. As for Barrington, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.

Elgin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Barrington, they will face off against Glenbrook South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Titans' defense has only allowed 14.4 points per game this season, so the Fillies/Broncos' offense will have their work cut out for them.
