Volleyball Recap: Emily Carter Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Bryan County

There's no place like home for Jenkins, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They won by a set and slipped past the Bryan County Redskins 2-1. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Redskins: they've now won three in a row.

Jenkins had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-18, 15-11.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jenkins to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emily Carter, who had 17 assists and three aces. Zoe Diogo was another key player, getting six kills and three aces.

Jenkins' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Bryan County, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coincidentally, Jenkins and Bryan County will both be playing New Hampstead the next time they take the court. The Redskins will head out to face the Phoenix at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Warriors will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
