Basketball Game Preview: Community School of Davidson Spartans vs. Pine Lake Prep Pride

The Community School of Davidson Spartans will take on the Pine Lake Prep Pride at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Community School of Davidson knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Pine Lake Prep likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Community School of Davidson didn't have too much trouble with Langtree Charter Academy as they won 70-56. The Spartans pushed the score to 57-37 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lions cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, Pine Lake Prep entered their matchup against Corvian Community on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Pine Lake Prep fell just short of Corvian Community by a score of 51-48. The contest marked the Pride's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Community School of Davidson will have to contain Jamie Lawson as he made an impact in Pine Lake Prep's last game. He almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine boards. Joseph Bruce was another key player, putting up ten points.

Community School of Davidson is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season. As for Pine Lake Prep, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-4.

Community School of Davidson lost to Pine Lake Prep at home by a decisive 60-43 margin when the teams last played back in February of 2024.
