Baseball Recap: Osborn Has No Trouble Against Harper Woods

After losing to Harper Woods the last time they met, Osborn decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Knights were the clear victors by a 15-3 margin over the Pioneers on Monday. Considering the Knights have won 11 games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

A Woods made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out 13 batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off only one hit. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last 13 games he's played.

In other batting news, W Alverez was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. A Joiner was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Osborn's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 24-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Harper Woods, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-15.

Osborn does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Harper Woods, they will face off against South Lake at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
