Soccer Recap: Stony Point Takes a Loss

If Stony Point was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of East View last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Stony Point Tigers came up short against the Vandegrift Vipers on Tuesday, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 114th, while the Vipers are ranked 28th).

Stony Point's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Vandegrift, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0-1.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Vista Ridge the next time they take the pitch. Stony Point will head out to face Vista Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Vandegrift will host them at 7:30 p.m. on January 21st.
