Basketball Preview: Eagle River Wolves vs. West Anchorage Eagles

Eagle River is 0-10 against the Eagles since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Eagle River Wolves will look to defend their home court against the West Anchorage Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Eagle River is out to stop a 12-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.

Last Tuesday, Eagle River was the victim of a tough 49-27 loss at the hands of the Wolverines.

Defeat or not, Eagle River got some senior leadership from Brooklyn Rollman and Darby Buyse. Rollman dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Buyse. almost dropped a double-double on 13 rebounds and nine steals. Buyse has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

Meanwhile, West Anchorage's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 54-38 bruising from Dimond.

Eagle River's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for West Anchorage, they have fallen quite a ways from their 21-6 record last season and are now at 2-7.
